tim credentialing

Once he has completed his first transitional ministry setting, trained interim pastors are encouraged to consider Credentialing. Credentialing tells District Presidents and prospective congregations that he has credible experience in this specialized ministry, and indicates that he takes distinct satisfaction in serving this way and so maintains high ministry standards through continuing education and regular collegial gatherings with other transitional ministry practitioners. In addition, credentialing qualifies him for the special Concordia Plan Services coverage designed especially for transitional pastors that can provide consistent benefit levels no matter where he serves. Those satisfying the requirements are issued a Certificate of Credentialing and a notation made by their name on the TIM Clearinghouse. The credential is valid for three years and renewal may be applied for near the time of its expiration. For more information on credentialing, contact the IMC Board Credentialing Chair.
